CONCUSSION AWARENESS

What is a concussion? - Watch this video to learn exactly what a concussion is. It’s not a structural problem; it’s a “software” problem that can’t be fixed with ice and tape.

Symptoms of a concussion - Watch this video to make yourself aware of concussion symptoms.

What to do when a concussion occurs? - What do you do if a concussion occurs?  If you even think a player has a concussion, remove him or her from competition immediately. When in doubt, sit them out

When can a player come back? - Playing with a concussion is dangerous. Don’t let, or encourage, your players to “tough it out." Non-athletic activities like studying can suffer if a concussion isn’t properly managed.
