In March, Texans Ambassadors and cheerleaders took a tour of Estadio Azteca, home of professional football team, Club America, in Mexico City. The Houston Texans will be playing the Oakland Raiders at Azteca Stadium on Monday night on November 21, 2017.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Houston Texans and Texas Children's Hospital partnered up to put on the 2016 Houston Texans Kid's Triathlon at NRG Stadium. It is expected to be the largest USATriathlon sanctioned kids triathlon in the world for the third year in a row with more than 3,000 participants ages 6 to 15. On Saturday, March 26th, over 50 youth football coaches participated in the Houston Texans Player Safety Coaches Clinic at the Houston Texans YMCA. They were taught by a certified master along with experts from Houston Methodist and Texas Children's Hospital about player safety in their respective leagues.
