On Thursday, June 16th, citizens from the Brookwood Community came over to NRG Stadium for a tour of the stadium and a fun day of playing football in the Houston Methodist Training Center. Take a look to see which Houston Texans special guest surprised the Brookwood Community citizens.
Recently, The Houston Texans in partnership with Houston Methodist and GE wrapped up the off-season Play Safe program with the 2016 Play Safe Sports Medicine Summit. The Play Safe Platform also features the Mom’s Clinic and Play Safe Clinics which are designed to educate and communicate the message of safety in football along with proper fundamentals to youth athletes, parents and athletic trainers. The Play Safe Sports Medicine Summit featured over 160 Athletic Trainers in attendance providing support to over 350 schools, impacting over 125,000 Student Athletes.
On Tuesday, June 7, the Houston Texans hosted a VIP Field Day Meet & Greet. The night started out in the Houston Methodist Training Center, where QB Brandon Weedon, LB Brian Peters, Houston Texan Cheerleaders and TORO joined Club Members in fun activities for the kiddos. After the Field Day, members went to the West Club at NRG Stadium for food, music, and a meet & greet session with Texan players RB Alfred Blue, S Quintin Demps, CB Jonathan Joseph, CB Charles James, and CB Kareem Jackson.
On Saturday, May 4, the Houston Texans, Cheerlearders, TORO and RB Jonathan Grimes hosted an event called TOROs Bravos Family Fun Day, presented by Verizon, at the Downtown Aquarium. Participants went on a treasure hunt throughout the park, where they collected gold coins and then concluded the event in the VIP Party Area.

The Houston Texans partnered with GE and Houston Methodist on Wednesday, March 25, to host the Play Safe Moms Clinic, which is a progam vested in making the game of football safer for everyone. Moms heard from Texans player, S Quintin Demps, Hannah McNair, and Coach Vrabel and his wife, Jen about dealing with safety procedures, along with all of the positives that come from being a part of a team.
On Saturday, May 21, Houston Texans players, cheerleaders, TORO, Ambassadors, staff volunteered alongside Texan fans to give back to the Houston community for Texans Care Volunteer Day presented by Reliant.
On Saturday, the Houston Texans gave Police Officers and their families a field day that included some football drills, fun activities for the kiddos, and prizes at the Houston Methodist Training Center at NRG.

Houston Texans owner Bob McNair and family, President Jamey Rootes, and Texan players paid a visit to Brookwood Community, a non-profit residential facility and vocational program for adults with disabilities, in Brookshire, TX. A donation of $750,000 was made through the Robert and Janice McNair Foundation and Texans Foundation on Tuesday.
Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins and Brian Cushing spent their Mother's Day at an event called Mom's Dash to the Splash where they took place in a water slide race aboard the Carnival Cruise and the winner received a donation to a charity of their choice.
