Started eight games and was 137-of-253 passing for 1,760 yards, nine touchdown passes and six interceptions in his first season on the active roster in 2013
Originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Houston in 2012 and spent his entire rookie season on the Texans practice squad

2013 (Houston 8/8):
Inactive the first six weeks of the season and for the final two games of the season
Made his first career start and completed 15-of-25 passes for 271 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing three times for 10 yards at Kansas City (10/20)
Threw for the most yards by a Texans QB in their first career start in team history and his 10.84 yards-per-attempt avg. was the third-highest in a single game in team history
Completed 20-of-34 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns vs. Indianapolis (11/3); all three of his touchdowns occured in the first half, the fifth time that has happened in franchise history
Completed 22-of-43 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns at Arizona (11/10) and set a franchise record with 43 passing attempts in a game without an interception
His 105 conseutive passes before throwing an interception vs. Oakland (11/17) was the third-longest streak of consecutive passes without an interception in franchise history
