TEXANS TEAM NOTES
• The Texans won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. Indianapolis elected to receive.
• Houston’s captains for the game were WR Andre Johnson, QB Matt Schaub, P Shane Lechler and DE J.J. Watt.
• Inactive players for the Texans were QB T.J. Yates, FS Jawanza Starling, G Alex Kupper, T Andrew Gardner, G Cody White, TE Garrett Graham and DE Tim Jamison
• Houston’s first quarter scoring drive spanned 32 yards on 7 plays and lasted 2:27, capped by a 49-yard field goal by Randy Bullock.


INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:

K RANDY BULLOCK
• Connected on a 49-yard field to extend the second-longest streak of consecutive games with a field goal in franchise history to 12. Bullock has made his last nine field goals.

T DUANE BROWN
• Tied Matt Schaub for 9th place on the franchise’s all-time games played list at 88 games

TE RYAN GRIFFIN
• Set career-highs with six receptions for 62 yards (10.3 avg.)

WR ANDRE JOHNSON
• Extended his streak of consecutive games played with a reception to 115 and his franchise record of games played to 152

CB JOHNATHAN JOSEPH
• Intercepted Andrew Luck and returned it 32 yards in the first quarter, his third interception of the season and ninth as a Texan moving him into sole possession of fourth place in franchise history.
• Had 9 solo tackles to lead the team

P SHANE LECHLER
• Extended his streak of consecutive games played to 188, tops among active punters
• Moved past John James (1,083) into 13th place on the all-time punts list with his third punt of the game
• Punted eight times for a 49.5 yard average including a long of 56 with three downed inside the 20

C CHRIS MYERS
• Extended the NFL’s longest active consecutive games played streak by an offensive lineman to 135
• Extended the NFL’s longest active consecutive games started streak by a center to 110
• Played and started in his 94th consecutive game as a Texan

OLB BROOKS REED
• Recorded a sack for the second consecutive game in the third quarter when he took down Andrew Luck for a 1-yard loss

FB BRAD SMELLEY
• Made his Texans debut on special teams in the first quarter

RB BEN TATE
• Led the team with 72 yards rushing on 16 attempts (4.5 avg.)
